As we end our internship countdown, something to consider is the personal benefits of an internship. Many students feel slightly intimidated when applying for jobs after graduation. Mostly because they have never worked in their field before. When you complete an internship you not only receive an experience to put on your resume, but you also gain confidence in skills that you will use in the workplace. Some examples of skills you can gain while on your internship are:
-Interpersonal communication
-Professionalism
-Report writing
-Skills specific to your career field
Identifying new interests is also a main benefit of completing an internship. Some students even decide to change their major after completing an internship!
